Role of a Field Service Engineer
The Field Service Engineer’s (FSE) important role is to provide installation supervision and filed repair and maintenance services to customers. The FSE will have to visit the customer site. There, this individual will be responsible for repairing of UPS systems and examining a failed product or providing site maintenance. As some repair needs will have to be done on-site the selected FSE must have sufficient knowledge and experience in examining and repairing electronic circuitry on a component level.
* Two years of related experience

Job responsibilities for engineers
Houston engineers in several fields will have to develop strong relationships with clients at all management levels including design, procurement and senior management. They will have to lead technical Sales presentations, and assist in negotiations, offer design, implementation, and configuration best practices to partners, monitor industry trends, and/or assist the Product Development/ Marketing team where required.
The architectural engineers will be in charge of creating proposed solutions with application drawings and related technical materials for presentation to prospective client organizations. They will also have to communicate technical solutions to internal provisioning team for implementation. The technical service and filed engineers will function as key decision makers in terms of working with (and knowing when to deploy) technical subject matter experts from change management and process engineering in the development of solution proposals. They must also take an active role in the development and implementation of the business/account strategic plans with sales team. The sales engineer must have to build customer relationships at the appropriate levels as defined by account strategies and be an integral member of the business and technical solution from the conceptual through detailed phase of sales opportunities. He/she must develop strong working relationships with Engineering, Marketing, and Solutions Architects as required by designing customer solutions.
